This said, once a month I go thrifting in Amsterdam North in a place that I particularly love. It’s one of the biggest -probably the biggest- flea market in Europe: the Ij Hallen market.
During the year the market is inside one of the ex warehouses of the hold harbor area. In the summer the market moves outside… it’s absolutely stunning icon smile Thrifting With the Smurfies

Anyway, also last month I went there but -despite the huge number of stalls- I didn’t find anything really exciting except for this calculator’s ancestor…

I found it extremely fun icon smile Thrifting With the Smurfies Maybe the sellers were Smurfies and I didn’t notice it.

Ok, to be honest I spotted something else that was particularly interesting: a small sideboard! icon biggrin Thrifting With the Smurfies

If you follow my thrifting tours, you probably know that I’m looking for a mid-century sideboard since months: also this time I wasn’t lucky.

I had a lot of fun this round, even though I didn’t find what I was looking for…but it’s ok, I saved some bucks.
Let’s see what happens next month. icon wink Thrifting With the Smurfies

Shame about the sideboard, it’s delightful – small, but beautifully formed. Better luck next time!
