I can’t help it, I love small spaces. Probably because they are more tricky to decorate and they force you to be creative.

This house is based in Manhattan and the owner -that clearly likes mid century modern and art- went through a difficult renovation to achieve this small gem of creativity and handiness.

He likes to collect art and mid century modern pieces found on ebay or around markets that fill the all place.
The Olsen round table -that make a dining room out of a circle- and the Wegner bookcase -fundamental to make two rooms out of one- make the difference in a small space like this where everything has to be carefully chose.

I am always surprised to see how well the persian rugs work in such small places. Probably because -in Italy- I was used to see them in huge spaces and old noble buildings. I do like the contrast with the mid century pieces and more I see them more I think I should start doing some research and maybe buy a nice one for my place as well
