It’s official, I got the Pinterest virus; it’s a nice one though.
I was mumbling for a long time about Pinterest, I was like “another one!? Please…”; I was wrong.
Pinterest is great not because it’s becoming crazily popular but because it’s really cool! What is so cool about it?
It’s the simplest way ever to collect and discover amazing pics on the internet. No uploads necessary(but you can from your iPhone), no tags to organise, no complicated interfaces(just few simple options), no clunky albums, streamlines or galleries to organize edit etc. Everything you need it’s just a click/tap away!
Ok, you are probably thinking, it’s new and it will become more complicated, like Facebook…they just want to attract our attention/email right now…maybe, but not even Flickr was that simple in the beginning; so there is hope for the future.
You can Pin from anywhere, desktops, smartphones, tablets and all your favorite pics are easily organized and browsable in your boards.
Do you need to collect inspiring pics to re-decorate your living room? Make a Board about it and they will be all there for you anytime, plus other users can ripin your pics and give you more inspiration with their boards because, if they liked what you pinned, probably you have similar tastes…effortless you can find more inspiration; again one Pin away from you.
What is all this post about? Did I start working for Pinterest? Unfortunately this is not the case.
I just opened an account and found tons of mid century modern beauties all in one place!
So, if you want to discover the mid century modern on Pinterest, start from the Mid Century Home boards about mid century modern furniture, houses and buildings…more to come…
If you are not on Pinterest it is really easy to join it, just click here to request an invitation; I got mine after less than 24h.
Small trick…pinning from your smartphone it’s simply awesome but the official Pinterest App doesn’t have a browser or Pin it button to pin what you find outside the app(like on Safari, for iPhone users).
But there is a way to do it anyway! Just go to your Profile tab(bottom right) and then to the account button(top left) to find the explanation of how you can Pin on your smartphone outside the official Pinterest App; it’s really easy…try it and you’ll not able to stop anymore.
I hope to see you on Pinterest soon, enjoy the Pinning!
